This is something more saved for later, since I still have other projects to complete first. You know how there are cases of sometimes we wished we knew better about certain things in fiction. Like not realizing how even classic literature have contain some outdated representations of other ethnicities based on the prejudices at the time. One was when I did that fanfic retelling of Hunchback of Notre Dame, I don't regret writing it, I had fun with it. https://www.deviantart.com/tcr11050/gallery/60514778/the-hunchback-and-our-lady-of-notre-dame- But I do admittedly want to continue to change it due to me and probably others being ignorant to how the Romani are portrayed. Though I did do a deviation from most adaptations(I'm not sure if anyone else did this if they've did fanfic adaptations), where I have Esmerelda be biracial. Like she's still born to a Parisian parent, Sister Gudule/ Paquette Guybertaunt "la Chantefieurie," who was a worker girl in the original Victor Hugo book.

Susan Kay’s ‘Phantom’ Short Film Project

Hello all!
I just wanted to make a quick post here because I am making a series of short films based on Susan Kay’s Phantom novel, and I would love to hear other phans suggestions or ideas because I want to make this to the best standard I can. I also want to do the story justice as it is my all time favourite novel.

I am making the short film in 5 parts. This consists of:
1. Erik as a child - features Young Erik, Madeleine, Mlle. Perrault, Etienne
2. Erik as a prisoner/With Giovanni - features Young Erik, Javert, Giovanni, Luciana
3. Erik in Persia - features Erik, Nadir, maybe others
4. Erik and Christine - features Erik, Christine, Raoul, Meg, Madame Giry, Nadir
5. Erik’s death/Aftermath - Features Erik, Christine, Nadir, Raoul, Charles

Thoughts and suggestions very much appreciated. I would love to chat with some of you about it, and just Phantom in general as I really wish to make more Phantom friends!
